Jake and Elwood

Full View would make you a happy kid.

This has got to be one of the most commonly draw Blues Brothers Images ever. I am going to do a series of the Blues Brothers fanart I see the most. This is #1, I think. There is another one that runs real close, that might be near tied with this. I will do it soon.

So yeah. Everyone seems to draw this picture. Weird.

I am not super proud, I colored this a stupid way by using the darkening tool and selecting parts of the image, because I hadn't drawn this with a layer behind it to color on. That's why I didn't shadow it. But I might come back and revise this with shadows and reflections, yes.

Elwood has no eye because that's how it looked in the photo!

This took a few hours. It's a shorter piece. Spent most of the time on Jake's hair and Elwood's mouth. And as with all of my pictures, spent some time on their noses.

The reason why you can see only in one lens on each of their sunglasses is because that's how the light hit their shades in the photo. I think I'm most proud of Jake's eye and expression.
