Bought these awesome figures at The House of Blues in Anaheim. I had seen them before, but I couldn't bring myself to get them. What would I do with them? Well, evidently, I'd take pictures of them. These figures are 7 inches tall and made of solid plastic.
They did come with hats. I got a few pictures of that, too. But I think this picture turned out the best. Behind them is the House of Blues logo, if you did not recognize it.I did not make these figures
, before any body spazzes. I did not paint them, either.
I am NOT a sculptor... There's actually a few mistakes on them, that for a while I've been tempted to fix. These figures, however, were spray painted. I think trying to fix mistakes would make the paint uneven, so it would be wiser to strip of the paint first them first. But I don't want to mess with it, because the plastic could melt. The mistakes are very small, anyway.
So anyway. Dude. They gave Elwood a huge ass. I am not kidding. It's not just the angle, lol. I wanted these guys to stand as close back to back as possible, but Elwood's big butt was in the way. Oh well.
BA DONKA DONK.
Lol... Dude, Elwood has some really defined shoulder blades, too. I have to say they made his body shape a little... awkward. Jake looks perfect, though. Weird that they got the dead guy to look more like how he actually looked. OH. And a last thing, the dot on Elwood's chin... I think it's a mistake of the painting. I didn't edit it out, but I might. Don't think he has a birthmark there.
-ahem- Love the expressions on both figures. My step dad said the Elwood figure looks nothing like Dan Aykroyd, but I think it's close enough. I actually got these because I think they looked remarkably like the actors-- for figures, anyway. They were cheap and they were a pretty good quality. That's what won me over.
I took this picture on my bed. They were standing on three books, with a piece of paper taped to the wall behind them. The camera was on a stack of about 12 DVDs. Yeah, I don't have a tripod.
